Mid-Level Managers' Symposium

13th Annual Mid-Level Managers’ Symposium overview

Initiative: Mid-level Pipeline and Talent Management

Initiative Supporter(s): PepsiCo Foundation

Since 1994, the Annual Mid-Level Managers' Symposium has provided professional development and mentoring to more than 5,000 high potential African-American mid-level managers in corporate America. The event is developed by the Institute for Leadership Development & Research and held the day following The Council's Annual Recognition Dinner, held each October in Washington, DC.

Both the Dinner and the Symposium provide opportunities for African Americans and other corporate executives to network, engage in learning, and to honor the achievements of African Americans and pro diversity companies working to make the business case for diversity and the corporate workplace more inclusive, equitable and successful.

Symposiums are developed and moderated by corporate management consultants like Dr. Price Cobbs, renowned psychiatrist, author, and corporate management consultant to Fortune 500 companies with featured guest facilitators and keynoters such as Dr. Ella J. Edmondson Bell, Associate Professor of Business Administration at the Tuck School, Dartmouth College, and Dr. Nat Irvin.
