Annual Recognition Dinner
The Executive Leadership Council’s 21st Annual Recognition Dinner & Awards Ceremony will be held Thursday, October 8, 2009 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center (National Harbor – near downtown Washington, DC).
The Annual Recognition Dinner is the Council’s major fundraising event and proceeds are used to fund the essential work of the Foundation programs. The programs provide resources in preparing the next generation of African-American corporate executives -- undergraduate, graduate college students, and mid-senior level managers.
The Dinner is an opportunity to celebrate business achievements by, and on behalf of, African Americans. Three awards are presented at the gala event that honors the special business achievements of African-American corporate executives, entrepreneurs and academicians supporting inclusion in corporate America, as well as corporations who policies and practices have welcomed African Americans and their contributions.
Dinner Audience
More than 2,500 individuals attend the Council’s Annual Recognition Dinner every year. The audience is comprised of consumers and corporate attendees, mostly Fortune 500 partners and their CEO’s, C-Suite executives, senior executives, and mid-level manager executives. The average age of the dinner attendees is approximately 35-64 with a household income of $125,000+. The group, though mainly African American, is very diverse including Hispanic, Asian, Caucasian and other ethnicities.
Advertising
The Council has a commitment to help our sponsors in its public relations activities related to the Annual Recognition Dinner. In addition to the special advertising opportunities including the Exhibit/Showcase Sponsors, Hospitality Sponsors, and Website Underwriters (Virtual Library, e-Commerce, Travel Portal), there will be additional advertising and marketing opportunities. Celebrities are invited to participate in a meaningful way in the event.
Depending on the sponsorship, our marketing plan incorporates our sponsors’ logo in our print, online, on-site marketing. In addition, we will invite our sponsors to participate in pre- and post-event activities and will invite a representative from our sponsor companies to speak/be acknowledged (based on terms of contract). In all, the value of advertising (promotions) for our sponsors is worth 200% of the sponsorship fee.
Business to Business
The corporate attendees consist of CEOs/chairmen, board level decision makers, and senior executives and chief financial officers, senior managers, chief diversity officers, middle management, shareholders and investors, and regional partners. Many of your company’s clients and partners will be attending the dinner and represented by their CEOs and/or senior executives
