The 2007 Business Case Competition titled “Shell Retail – Card Processing Fees” is sponsored by Shell and will award $35K in prizes.  The final competition will be held in April 2007 in Houston, TX.

This initiative is an outgrowth of The National Business Essay Competition for undergraduate students.  The Business Case Competition, open to African American MBA students or multi-racial, predominantly African American teams of up to five students, asks students to write a business case on a current business topic.  Each year students from some 35 or more graduate schools participate.  Senior executives and CEO's from numerous Fortune 500 companies have participated in the development of the cases and/or the final competition. Competition prizes include: cash awards of $20,000, $10,000, and $5,000 to the first, second, and third place teams, respectively, along with crystal trophies for the winning schools.

The first place winning team also will attend all-expense-paid Honors Symposia events in New York City and Washington, DC, in October 2007 — The Executive Leadership Council Annual Recognition Dinner and the Annual Mid-Level Managers' Symposium.
