Strengthening the Pipeline: Critical Factors for
Successful Leaders
What can you achieve in twelve
months? How much can you develop professionally in one year? Successful development takes time,
commitment, and direction. Ultimately, leadership is the critical factor
to achieving personal success and organizational
strength. If you are a leader seeking a learning
experience to help sharpen your skills and abilities
to reach new depths of personal and professional
development, Strengthening the Pipeline may
be the right program for you. Time is of the essence. If you have the commitment, we can help you
with the direction.
Overview
Strengthening the Pipeline:
Critical Factors for Successful Leaders is a
distinctive leadership developmental initiative offered
by the Executive Leadership Council’s Institute for
Leadership Development & Research (Institute). The Institute provides executive-level seminars,
peer mentoring and coaching, networking with top
corporate executives, and leadership opportunities to
help high potential African-American business leaders
achieve stellar performance and recognition. Additionally, the Institute offers cutting-edge
research in the interest of understanding diversity
business practices and leadership issues affecting
African-American development.
Strengthening the Pipeline is fully delivered in three sessions over the course of
12 months. Participants are expected to attend all three sessions
to benefit from the developmental series. The program begins with a three-day seminar
followed by two, two-day sessions. In connection with the classroom sessions, each
participant will also be assigned a personal executive
mentor from The Executive Leadership Council (The
Council). The Council is a unique, national membership
organization representing a cadre of executive level men
and women who bring unparalleled insight to a variety of
business issues. In addition to connecting with their Council
mentor, participants are also expected to engage in
learning Webinars and an Action Learning Team Project. As a participant in the Strengthening the
Pipeline: Critical Factors for Successful Leaders you will be assessed, developed, mentored, and
coached for success in the future.
