The Executive Leadership Council Introduces 2006 Ann Fudge Scholarship Award Recipients at its 20th Anniversary Recognition Dinner

Washington, DC – The Executive Leadership Council’s 2006 Ann Fudge Scholars, all seniors attending college in New Orleans, are winners of $20,000 in scholarships and participants in a week of Honors Symposia events at Fortune 500 companies in New York City and Washington, DC as part of The Council’s 20th Anniversary celebration events.

The four students will be  highlighted at the President’s Reception on October 26, 2006 and be presented onstage with Ann Fudge, CEO, Young & Rubicam Brands, at The Council’s 20th Anniversary Recognition Dinner where Dr. Johnnetta Cole, President of Bennett College for Women, receives the Alvaro Martins Heritage Award; Clarence Otis, Jr. CEO of Darden Restaurants, receives the Achievement Award; and Altria Group, Inc., parent company of Kraft Foods, Philip Morris USA and Philip Morris International, receives the Corporate Award.

This year’s four winners are Dillard students Dominique Devezin, an economics and finance major and Kristie Alina Gomez, a native of Trinidad & Tobago majoring in business administration.  Ms. Gomez plans to pursue her MBA at the University of Chicago and become a certified management consultant.  The Xavier University students are Alexandra Ajanaku of Lagos, Nigeria, who will graduate in December 2006 with a BA in economics, and Crystal Moore, a business administration major.

The Ann Fudge Scholarship is named in honor of Executive Leadership Council Member and Young & Rubicam Brands Chairman & CEO, Ann Fudge, who heads a major global marketing communications firm.  Ms. Fudge is also a former Chair of The Council’s board.
