Camilla McGhee is Director of Corporate Council Services & Foundation Programs for The Executive Leadership Council (ELC), an independent 501 (c) 6 non-profit corporation, and The Executive Leadership Foundation, its 501 (c) 3 affiliate. The Executive Leadership Council is the nation’s premier business association compromised of more than 400 of the most senior African American Executives in Fortune 500 companies, dedicated to provide African-American executives and high potential leaders with a network and leadership forum that adds perspective and direction to the achievement of excellence in business, economic and public policies for the African-American community, their corporations and the community at large.

Mrs. McGhee serves as chief staff liaison to the ELC’s membership and has been instrumental in ensuring that all ELC corporate responsibilities, programs and initiatives continue to meet the needs of its members, member corporations and the community at-large. She also has oversight over the development and implementation of all The Executive Leadership Foundation’s programs. She has been instrumental in building the interest and cache of several key programs including The Executive Leadership Council’s Annual Business Essay Contest for college undergraduates, the Business Case Competition for graduate students, the organization’s annual CEO Diversity Leadership Summit which has attracted over 150 current or former Fortune 500 CEO’s in its 7-year span, and the organization’s annual leadership development and recognition activities.

Prior to joining The Executive Leadership Council, she served as the Legislative Assistant for US House Representative Bruce Vento (D-MN). Prior to that, she served as the District Director for US House Representative Gillis W. Long (D-LA). Mrs. McGhee currently is a member of the Board of the NextGen Network, an affiliate organization to The Executive Leadership Council which works to provide leadership development and networking opportunities for young, high potential collegiate students and corporate leaders.

Mrs. McGhee received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Southern University. She then earned her Masters in Sociology from George Washington University and later her MBA at Northwestern University. She also serves on the national board of the YWCA, and is a member of the National Black MBA Association (NBMAA), the National Association of Female Executives, the Democratic National Committee and the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. She also spends time serving as a mentor and “Big Sister” to young at-risk girls, English tutor for Hispanic youth and a Sunday School Teacher. Mrs. McGhee currently resides in Mitchellville, Maryland with her husband Darryl
