Alana serves as Managing Principal at Robinson Group Consulting, Inc. and is located in Westmont, IL. Alana founded Robinson Group Consulting, Inc. in 2004.

Prior to founding Robinson Group Consulting, Inc., Alana served as Senior Vice President, Manufacturing Operations at R R Donnelley, Chicago, IL. Before arriving at R R Donnelley, Chicago, IL, Alana served as CIO at Sara Lee Hosiery, Winston-Salem, NC. Prior to that, Alana served as CIO at Coors Brewery, Golden, CO.

At present, Alana is a member of The Marathon Club Advisory Board. She serves on the boards of African American Experience Fund and Executive Leadership Council.

Alana attended Grambling State University where she studied Mathematics and Computer Science and earned a Bachelors degree in 1972. She also attended Harvard University where she studied Advanced Management Program in 2001 and Kellogg Minority Board Development Program where she studied Board Development in 2004.
