R. Lucia Riddle is a Vice President of Federal Government Relations for the
Principal Financial Group. Ms. Riddle works in Washington, DC, with
Congressional, executive branch, and cabinet-level government entities on behalf
of various legislative, regulatory and privacy matters related to her company’s
operations. She has more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare
operations and public policy field. Ms. Riddle is a member of several insurance
and financial service industry related technical and policy committees for
organizations such as: America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), the American
Benefits Council (ABC), the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI), the
Business Roundtable (BRT), and the Financial Services Roundtable (FSR).
Ms. Riddle holds a MBA from Drake University, is a Fellow of the Life Management
Institute (FLMI), and holds designations from the Health Insurance Association
of America and the International Claims Association. Ms. Riddle serves on the
boards of the Public Affairs Council (Washington, DC); The Howard University
Center for Insurance Education (Washington, DC), Alan Guttmacher Institute (New
York City), The Corcoran Museum (Washington, DC), the White House Project, Women
in Community Service, and The Coalition and Caucus for the Black Aged.
