Norman K. Jenkins

Norman Jenkins is Senior Vice President, North American Lodging Development, and Corporate Officer of Washington D.C. based Marriott International, Inc. In his role as SVP, Jenkins leads all development efforts as they relate to diverse ownership groups and is responsible for developing Marriott’s full service and limited service brands. He oversees Marriott’s diversity ownership initiative, which has been designed to build upon Marriott’s outstanding track record of attracting top tier owners and franchisees.

Jenkins began his professional career at McDonald’s Corporation where he held management positions in finance and operations. In 1992, Jenkins joined Marriott’s Corporate Internal Audit group as a Senior Manager. Jenkins other roles at Marriott include Tax Director, Acquisition Executive, Finance Director, and Vice President Global Operations & CFO of Marriott’s Ramada International division, where he led teams in Europe, Asia and the United States. Prior to his most recent appointment, Jenkins served as Vice President, Owner and Franchise Services.

Jenkins holds a BBA in accounting from Howard University, an MBA from the George Washington University and is a certified public accountant.

Jenkins serves on a number of boards including the International Franchise Association Diversity Institute, the Executive Leadership Council, the Metropolitan Community Development Corporation, the Howard University School of Business Board of Visitors, and is past President and CEO of National Association of Black Accountants.

Mr. Jenkins, his wife Cammye, and their two children reside in suburban Washington D.C.
