Tina A. Walls was appointed Philip Morris USA's Senior Vice
President of External Affairs in April 2004. Ms. Walls is
responsible for the corporation's community involvement programs.
Ms. Walls has been with Philip Morris since 1985. During that span
she has grown from Regional Manager of Government Affairs for their
West Coast offices to what she is today. Ms. Walls worked at the
Colorado Legislative Council for six years prior to joining Philip
Morris, where she last served as Principal Analyst.
Ms. Walls received a BBA in administration and legal processes from
Mills College in Oakland, California. She graduated from the Rocky
Mountain Program for Senior Executives in State and Local
Government. Ms. Walls has attended the University of Wisconsin at
Madison and the University of Colorado at Denver graduate schools
for business and public administration. She graduated from the
Executive Program at the University of Virginia's Darden Business
School in 1992.
Ms. Walls has served on a variety of public policy boards, including
the American Legislative Exchange Council, the National Conference
of State Legislatures Foundation, the Council of State Governments
21st Century Foundation, the National Governors' Association
Corporate Advisory Working Group, the Congressional Black Caucus
Foundation, the America-European Community Association USA, the
Milwaukee Art Museum Board of Trustees and Co-Chair of the Richmond,
VA Mayor's Efficiency & Effectiveness Committee in 2005. In July
2004 Governor Mark Warner appointed Ms. Walls to the board of the
Science Museum of Virginia. |
