Members of The Executive Leadership Council continue to be recognized by their companies and in the media for their accomplishments.

Transitions

Ronald D. McCray will serve as Interim President and CEO of the Career Education Corporation.

Lawyer Burks is the new vice president and general manager for ITW Commercial Construction, North America. He was vice president and general manager for ITW Medical Products.

Richard “Dick” Daniels has been named executive vice president and chief information officer for Kaiser Permanente. He was SVP, IT Health Plan and Hospital Operations for the company.

Michele (Adams) Bolden became president and CEO of Adams Consulting Group, Incorporated, a self-owned consultant firm. She was Human Resources Site Head for Roche Pharmaceuticals.

Susan E. Chapman-Hughes became senior vice president, U.S. Large Market, Global Corporate Payments at American Express. She was SVP, U.S. Account Development, Global Corporate Payments – Americas.

Dale E. Jones, a new member for 2015, was named president and CEO for Diversified Search.

Board/Commission Appointments

Linda Gooden, former executive vice president of Lockheed Martin Corporation was elected to the board of directors of GM.

David Bozeman, senior vice president for Caterpillar was appointed to the board of directors of Weyerhaeuser Company.

The International Association of Credit Portfolio Managers (IACPM) named Jeffery J. Weaver, executive vice president & group head of Credit Portfolio Management at KeyCorp, as its new Chair.

Chris Simmons, former managing partner at PwC and ELC Board Member,has been elected to serve on the board of trustees of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.

Tenet Healthcare Corporation elected Freda C. Lewis-Hall M.D.,executive vice-president and chief medical officer of Pfizer Inc., as a new independent director.

Victoria Jones, vice president of global government affairs and community relations for The Clorox Company was named to the board of trustees for the Pan American Health and Education Foundation (PAHO Foundation).

Retirements

McDonald’s President & CEO Don Thompson announced his retirement effective March 1 after a 25 year career with the company. He also was ELC’s 2010 Achievement Award recipient.
