Teresa Payne-Nunn - Vice President and Chief Member Officer, The Executive Leadership Council

Teresa Payne-Nunn is Vice President and Chief Member Officer of The Executive Leadership Council, the preeminent membership organization for seniormost black business executives whose purpose is to open channels of opportunity for the development of black executives to positively impact business and their communities. She leads The ELC’s member services team and is responsible for developing, leading, and coordinating programs, benefits, marketing, and initiatives that promote membership intake and engagement for the organization’s more than 800 members.

Payne-Nunn has over 30 years of experience in leading global organizations serving both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining The ELC leadership team, she was Americas Senior Vice President for Xerox Corporation. As a member of the senior leadership team for the Americas, she had fiduciary P&L responsibility along with strategy development, marketplace services and solution design, and overall client satisfaction.

Payne-Nunn has held progressively responsible business development, marketing, and executive positions leading companies including Senior Vice President, U.S. Federal Operations for Xerox Corporation, Healthcare Industry General Manager for Xerox Global Services, and Senior Vice President of Sales, U.S. East for W. W. Grainger, Inc.

Payne-Nunn earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from The Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business and Executive Management Certificates from Dartmouth College, Tuck School of Business, University of Maryland Baltimore County and Smith College.

Committed to giving back to the community, Payne-Nunn serves on the Hampton University School of Engineering Advisory Board, and on several other boards, including Leadership Greater Washington, Washington Area Women’s Foundation and Port Discovery Children’s Museum. She was formerly an Executive Board member and Treasurer for Suited for Change and served on the Overseas Schools Advisory Council and the Xerox Political Action Committee. She is a recipient of the YWCA Woman of Excellence Award for her work with local and national nonprofits that focus on developing skills among women and youth.

A fourth generation Washingtonian, Payne-Nunn resides in Maryland.
