The ELC Hosts Leadership Development Week East In Miami, Fl


More than 230 participants, facilitators and coaches gathered in Miami for the 2017 Leadership Development Week (LDW) East, featuring five programs of The ELC’s Institute for Leadership Development & Research. Held at the Mandarin Oriental Miami on August 14-18, LDW East brought black mid-level managers and other high-potential black executives together for programs, including Strengthening the PipelineBright FuturesStrategic PathwaysNavigating the Corporate Landscape, and Leading InnovationParticipants represented a wide variety of industries, organizations, functional areas, and geographical locations. Participants in LDW East heard from Marc Washington, the former President & COO of Beachbody, during a joint program dinner.

Marc Washington, former President & COO of Beachbody, was the keynote speaker during a welcome dinner on Wednesday night for all program participants. The Strengthening the Pipeline – Wealth Management Luncheon featuring Cynthia H. Bowman of Bank of America was also highly regarded by attendees. On Thursday night, participants boarded the Grand Floridian for a dinner boat cruise around Biscayne Bay to celebrate their graduation from the LDW program.

LDW East participants enjoyed a graduation cruise on Biscayne Bay.
