Four Elc Members Appointed To Corporate and University Boards In May 2015

It’s a great week for ELC Members and Board Appointments! Congratulations to Dmitri L. Stockton, President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Asset Management, and Sheila G. Talton, President and Chief Executive Officer, Gray Matter Analytics, who were elected to the Deere & Company Board of Directors on May 27, 2015. Sheila and Dmitri are both members of the ELC’s Corporate Board Initiative (CBI) Cohort Group. CBI is dedicated to increasing the number of black executives on corporate boards.

On May 22, Brown University elected ELC’s Chief Operating Officer, Brickson Diamond, to its Board of Trustees for a six-year term. Brickson is a graduate of Brown University where he serves as a member of the President’s Leadership Council, the President’s Advisory Council on Internships, and the advisory board of the Center for the Study of Slavery and Justice.

Earlier this month, Governor Nikki Haley (R-SC) appointed ELC Founder Milton Irvin to the Board of Trustees at South Carolina State University. Milt’s appointment is highlighted in a recent article in The Times and Democrat.

Congratulations to our esteemed members on these highly-regarded appointments. Look for more information on recent promotions and accomplishments of ELC Members in our next edition of “Members on the Move…Members in the News” in early June.
