September was a very active month for The ELC, with events in New York, Las Vegas and Washington, DC. We held our first Regional Women’s Leadership Forum at Time Warner Center in New York, where more than 60 black women executives were engaged in “Increasing the Visibility of Black Women Executives in Broadcast and Digital Media.”

More than 220 people gathered on the rooftop of Skadden Arps with Members of Congress to hear from Congressman Cedric Richmond, chair of the CBC, and witness the presentation of a $15,000 gift from the three host organizations to Shuanise Washington, president and CEO of the CBCF, in support of its Summer Internship program.
