It was an experience that reminded us just how essential global perspective has become in today’s boardrooms. The week began with a wonderful members-only pre-reception, hosted by Diligent, where we were joined by Alastair Scragg, Assistant General Counsel at Diligent who gave us such a warm welcome to London.
At Google, we explored AI governance and board oversight, tackling one of the most complex challenges facing executives and directors today. The discussion reframed a critical misconception: effective board oversight of AI does not require deep technical expertise but a shared fluency around innovation, ethics, and accountability.
